Privacy

Clashionary is a free game, played in a browser, with no sign-up. It is built to know as little about you as it can and still work.

What the game does keep

To run a match, a few things have to exist for a while. This is all of it.

Classes

In a class, pupils type only a first name, so the teacher can see their score. Names and scores are deleted a week after the lesson, or as soon as the teacher presses End class & delete. The teacher's key stays in the teacher's browser. More detail for schools is on the teachers page.

Stored on your device

Your browser remembers your choices — your name, level, language, style, emblem, sound setting and the match you're in — in its own local storage, so you don't have to set them again. This never leaves your device except when it is needed to play (your name, for example). Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

Services the site relies on

Children

Clashionary is used in schools. Because nobody gives us personal information, there is nothing that identifies a child. Pupils should use a first name or a nickname, never a full name.

Questions or deletion

Use the Submit feedback box on the home page to ask a question or to ask for anything you sent us to be removed. If this policy changes, the change will be posted here.
